As tech writer Pranay Parab said back when this Apple Watch SE was released, this is the best Apple Watch choice for most people because it's cheaper but you still get many of the most important features on it. The SE has the same processor as the Series 8, has crash detection, and has a great battery life of up to 37 hours, as PCMag noted in its "excellent" review. You won't have dust resistance or the always-on display that many people asked for on the newer models, but you do get a WR50 rating, meaning it's water resistant to 164 feet and safe for swimming in a pool or the ocean.
